Colour Box 3 - our version

For a long time I couldn't decide in which way should I make the colour tablets. As usual the original version is very expensive as for few painted wooden pieces. Finally I made them in computer graphic program and printed them on normal white paper in two copies. One copy I used as a example (or error checker)  and I cut the second copy into pieces, laminating them before.
I suggest first to do matching. Cut off pieces to the strips, then this has been when mastered, your child can put the colours in order from the darkest to the brightest and vice versa. The strip can be used as an error checker.
On the other hand you can of course cut both copies into pieces and do simple matching one to one.
So far I made only yellow green and blue colours as it was really difficult to find proper red pink and purple shades in my computer. This will be done soon when I have some time.

These is Colour Box 3. Igor had mastered Colour Box 1which is simple pairing of two tablets in the same colour.

Exercises:
Teach the names of the colours using a 3 period lesson
• Grade one set
• Grade all sets
• Create a wheel of colour (we will do it when all colours are done)

  • ustaw odcienie z jednego zestawu

The original Colour Box 3 contains 9 sets of colour tablets: each set
consists of 6 – 7 shades of one colour. The tablets are handled by the wooden
edge using the pincer grip.

Great idea. We are now at th stage 1 and it's still too difficult. But when the time will come, willing to use this method :)
